Stroke rates can be used as feedback for training and racing, and this calculator makes them easy to determine.
Tap once per stroke cycle four times after a swimmer pushes off the wall and breaks out to get a result.
A swimmer's speed may be determined by their strokes per second(SR) multiplied by their distance per stroke(DPS), so if a swimmer increases their SR while keeping their DPS the same, their speed will improve. Swimmers can swim at various efforts using different stroke rates to optimize their individual strategies.
Requires iOS 8.1 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
